The Golden Age Has Passed — In the Post-Technology Era, What We Must Cultivate Is Imagination

We are not stuck because technology is insufficient.
Most of the necessary technologies already exist.
What remains is not performance, but arrangement—and time.

In the past, recognition accuracy was the problem.
Reality was unstructured, documents were warped, and video was full of noise.
But the situation has fundamentally changed.
AI grows stronger as it learns.
It is not a system that weakens through failure,
but one that uses failure as fuel and steadily converges.

Modern video editing and computer vision technologies
can now render even warped documents into flat, readable forms.
Not from a single photograph, but through continuous video frames,
reality itself has become scannable data.
The remaining bottleneck in converting physical materials
into AI-readable information is no longer a technical limitation,
but the speed of the input pipeline.

And if time is the issue,
that is a problem GPUs and CPUs are designed to solve.
Compute is no longer the key that unlocks possibility,
but an accelerator that compresses time to arrival.
“Impossible” is increasingly just another way of saying
“not enough cycles yet.”

We now live in an era where physical AI can drive itself.
This does not merely mean that driving has been automated.
It is proof that systems capable of real-time perception, prediction,
judgment, and action in the physical world already exist.
From this moment on, other physical domains—documents, space, logistics, records—
are no longer fundamental challenges, but matters of absorption order.

All of these changes converge on a single conclusion:

The interface is changing.

The era of humans staring at screens and clicking buttons is ending.
The new interface is not UI, but intent.
We speak, receive results, and refine.
Within this structure, copy like
“Our tool has great features” steadily loses its power.
Features are no longer read, compared, or debated.
What AGI assistants evaluate are not descriptions,
but conditions, outcomes, and reliability.

In this context, Figma is not a failed tool.
It has simply passed its peak.
It was the most refined instrument of an era
in which humans directly designed pixels by hand,
and it fulfilled that role perfectly.
But as the center of the interface moved,
its position naturally shifted as well.

SaaS will follow the same path.
Tools will not disappear, but they will step down from the center.
UI-driven services will be decomposed,
and their functions absorbed as callable components by AGI.
Platforms will not remain.
Only structures that allow AGIs to share information efficiently will persist.

At the end of all these trends,
what we must do becomes clear.

Not selling more technology.
Not explaining more features.
But cultivating imagination.

Imagination is not an innate gift.
No one was born a philosopher.
Imagination is forged through repeated cycles of experience, failure, analysis, and evolution.
By colliding with reality, failing, asking why,
and trying again—differently—
we acquire the ability to simulate the future in compressed form.

That is imagination.
Not fantasy, but compressed experience.

In an era where technology is abundant,
competitive advantage shifts away from
“how well you can build”
toward
“what kind of world you can imagine with what already exists.”

This is no longer an age of invention.
It is an age of arrangement, orchestration, and direction.
And at its center
is not technology,
but imagination.
